Links pages at Reform sites

Yahoo links: Drug Policy

Yahoo links: Philanthropy

Yahoo links: Charity and Fundraising Malls

Link pages with descriptions help make sense out of the roles of the different orgs. For example, at Kubby's link page: "Media Awareness Project -- MAP, the Media Awareness Project, is an organization consisting of a nationwide group of activists dedicated to using state-of-the-art communications technology to promote Drug Policy Reform. MAP threw its full weight behind us, resulting in such a torrent of letters to the editor that one local paper commented on the record volumn and quality of letters supporting the Kubby's."

The categorized links with descriptions, at the links pages of each reform site, should be copied among the orgs and should be gathered at reform navigation sites such as this one.

http://www.kubby.com/00-internet.html, show short descriptions.

http://www.aclu.org/issues/drugpolicy/irdrugpolicy.html - 2-sentence descriptions of the Drug Reform orgs:

http://www.cognitiveliberty.org/links.htm (Alchemind) -- 1-paragraph descriptions of orgs.

http://www.chrisconrad.com/links.html - 1 short sentence per link.

http://www.csdp.org/links.htm - no descriptions, thus not immediately as helpful.

http://www.yahooka.com/pages/Activism_and_Law_Reform/ -- varying-length descriptions from none to a paragraph. Good categories of Reform links. Good potential for a portal for reform, but that aspect doesn't get enough focus. If they continue to brainstorm and improve this area, it could be a helpful site.

http://www.dancesafe.org/links.html - not very reform-centric. Varying length descriptions; drug policy links have none. Lists sites such as NIDA without explaining its funding source, goals, or strategy. As I understand it: funding (stolen from U.S. taxpayers), goals (oppressing people and transferring power to government), and strategy (lying to you through massive propaganda).

http://www.drugsense.org/dpfhi/links.html - no descriptions.

http://www.dpft.org/ - no descriptions.

http://drcnet.org/links/ - banner and 2-sentence description typically.

http://www.drugpeace.org/links/links_index.html - 2-sentence descriptions. Confusing layout/grouping is very distracting, not transparent. Bold blue org names imply linked, but not.

http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/links/links_policy.shtml - no descriptions. Some grouping, but need more. Some link names are not at all indicative of difference between orgs. Shows that a link list is not at all a guide or directory.

http://www.heffter.org/links.html - no descriptions. Few links.

http://www.hofmann.org/links/index.html - no descriptions. Few links.

http://www.drugpolicy.org/cites_sources/links2.html - no descriptions. Few links. Shows how much we need a directory of Reform link lists with recommendations of the best link lists.

http://www.drugpolicy.org/cites_sources/links_activist.html -- good page. They totally should fold the above into this page. 2-4 sentence descriptions.

https://www.dpf.org/LINKS.html - confusing because directory is on left, limiting the text at the navigation links. Good links and 2-sentence descriptions. Forgot to include themselves -- important when including descriptions of links.

http://www.island.org/linkspace/pages/peace.shtml - too-short descriptions or none. Few links. I wish for better reform links, from a psychedelic community.

http://www.mapinc.org/dpr.htm - No descriptions - needs. The groupings are listed in the wrong order: Cannabis, Prohibitionist, Reform Orgs, Research Resources. Reform Orgs should be at the top. Actually at the very top should be a link list to jump down the page to the major categories of links. When this page first loads, it effectively declares the scope of the entire page to be "Cannabis Links", because only that heading is visible.

http://www.maps.org/links.html - the link list at the top needs to be better differentiated from the categories of links. Something like an HR or TABLE would do it. No descriptions, but the links are grouped. Not exhausive, but well-chosen sites.

http://www.norml.org/facts/links_statusquo.shtml -- nice page. 1-4 sentence description paragraphs.

http://www.whitehousedrugpolicy.gov/other/sites.html -- ONDCP government status-quo sites, funded by you.

http://www.pdpi.org/links.html - empty.

http://www.prdi.org/drugweb.html#FEAR - 2-4 sentence good descriptions of relevant orgs.

http://www.reconsider.org/contact/links.htm - 1-sentence descriptions (good but could be longer). Hard to read because decorative font is spidery and page has decorative background. Fairly good page overall, for content and organization.

http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/LINKS.HTM - Calyx link is highly recommended by druglib, but is broken. Weak set of links. NIDA link lacks description (important when sending people to prohibition propaganda sites).

http://www.ssdp.org/dynamic-frameset.html?links.html -- relevant, top-10 links, no descriptions. Limited in scope; no MAPS or Alchemind. Not stimulating and expansive. Bad: you sometimes can't back out of the page; another reason to avoid framesets.

http://www.naihc.org/hemp_organizations/index.html - no descriptions. A very short list of a few indirectly hemp-related sites.

http://www.ochemp.org/html/Links.html - short list of hemp and drug reform sites. Short 1-sentence descriptions.

http://www.votehemp.com/votehemp/links.html - short list of about 12 hemp or politics sites. A longer list would probably increase the value and use of this page.

http://www.thehia.org/membersites.cfm - long list of hemp sites. No descriptions, no categories.

http://www.marijuanaparty.org/eng/e_links.html - 1-2 sentence descriptions. Links for cannabis activism for Canada.
